Being in Midland, North Carolina, has made it easy to find fresh produce, honey, flowers, and other ingredients that I can use to make my desserts just a bit more special, I procure my honey from a fellow farmers market vendor to use in the Honey Lavender Cake and Salted Honey Pie. Fresh, organic Figs and blueberries from my neighbor Cath at Clear Creek Farmlet.
